Task:
Data you changed on your notebook while away, are needed on your desktop at home or in your office. Other data have been deleted and you want them to be deleted on your desktop, too.
Solution:
ECSync! notices the difference between the folders and updates both computers.
Task:
When you finish your work, you want to save the actual data on an external data carrier. Following you want the computer to switch off.
Solution:
You do this task once manually with ECSync!. Following you save this process in a profile. This is done by a single mouse click and typing a name for the profile (i.e. Evening Backup). Additionally ECSync! lets you create a shortcut on your desktop. With this shortcut you can call this task anytime with a single mouse click. ECSync! assists you with all these steps.
Task:
Some data shall be stored on a server every day at the same time.
Solution:
Like with the previous task you do this manually once with ECSync! and save the process in a profile. The you call the Windows Task Scheduler where you define when to call ECSync! with the corresponding profile.
Task:
You deleted some files on your notebook by mistake that are still available on your desktop.
Solution:
You call ECSync! manually with the profile you normally use to synchronize your data between notebook and desktop. ECSync! determines that there are files on your desktop which do not exist on your notebook. You now can decide if you want to restore these files or delete them on the notebook, too.
